When it’s a duster-length vest that you can make without sewing a stitch, then transform – PRESTO – right back into a scarf. It’s a great look to up-level your pandemic uniform of jeans and a tee into a stylish look for patio dining out. Here’s how to do it …
Start with a large, soft scarf – I like 72×40-44″ gauze-y ones. Fold it in half crosswise, per the diagram below.
Along one edge, bring together the 2 loose corners (B) and the fold point (A). Secure them with a small square knot.
Open out the crosswise edges to reveal to “armholes” and a halter neckline in back, like this:
