Career-Advancing Makeover

Crystal was being considered for a big promotion to a client-facing position with a significantly higher salary and more advancement opportunity.  Her mentor tactfully shared that a more polished appearance would significantly improve her chances for the job… Crystal was accustomed to spending money on her kids rather than investing in herself.  But this career opportunity motivated her to take the plunge and invest her annual bonus check in upgrading her wardrobe.

She told me that the bright striped blouse was a personal favorite, but later acknowledged that it was actually her preschooler’s favorite and not really her own,  Solid colors and slightly more structured silhouettes,  plus hair and makeup updates all contributed to her polished new look.  With careful shopping we helped her build a fully-coordinated professional wardrobe in a single weekend without breaking the budget.  Now she looks every bit the valuable employee she really was all along.
