My usual reaction to a new “style” book is to sit on my hands. After reading “LOOKING GOOD … Every Day” I was ready to stand on my chair and yodel! Finally a timeless reference for women of all ages and sizes. This book will be the text for my future classes. Thanks, Nancy, for a job very well done.
Mary Ray, Fashion Instructor, Writer, Designer
This book is full of information from A to Z to simplify the process of getting dressed. Nancy provides exercises to analyze yourself and connect to your style solutions. Photos and illustrations clarify the points – like the amazing results of repositioning a belt, tucking in a shirt or adding a shoulder pad. Whether you read from start to finish (Nancy’s humor makes it an enjoyable read) or head right for the topics that trouble you most, this book feels like a savvy friend helping you learn to look the way you always wished you could.

I could hardly stop turning the pages of “Looking Good…Every Day”, seeing answers to my wardrobe dilemmas in every chapter. Nancy’s approach is so intuitive you could easily overlook how ingenious it is. She uses “points of connection” to help readers identify their coloring, figure type, proportions, face shape etc, as the basis for flattering choices. Most fashion advice is imposed from the outside onto us poor lumps of imperfection. Nancy showcases what’s wonderful in each of us. It’s a positive, practical approach. Each chapter is illustrated with lots of real-world examples - far from the norm in style books. It’s a toolkit for wardrobe decision-making like I’ve never seen
Each chapter is illustrated with a wealth of examples using real women - far from the norm in style advice books. Looking Good…Every Day is a toolkit for wardrobe decision-making and design like I’ve never had before. With this book in hand I can analyze my piles of delayed wardrobe decisions with a fresh eye and make most of that clutter disappear–for good.

As a presentation coach, I help women project confidence and credibility. I can’t wait to recommend “LOOKING GOOD … Every Day” to them. This powerful resource helps a woman assess what showcases her unique attributes, keeping the focus on her face and her communications, not on “OMG, what is she wearing?” This book underscores that your presence is powerful when everything is connected – clothing, color, style, accessories - and shows you exactly how to accomplish it, step by colorfully illustrated step.
Kelly Armstrong, Image Consulting Instructor, City College of San Francisco
As an image consulting instructor who used Nancy’s original book since 2000, I’m thrilled with this updated, expanded volume. The book is loaded with new information and with photos reflecting the diversity of real women. It is an easy, enjoyable read and the step by step guidelines about body style are an added bonus. I’m very pleased with this comprehensive book and look forward to sharing it with my classes.

A useful and comprehensive guide for putting together – or refining – every aspect of your wardrobe from styles to closets to shopping., Enough depth for image “geeks” but accessible for all. The “Do’s and Don’ts” – with illustrations – are particularly helpful. Food for study … as well as for thought.
Leslie Wilmott, Smart Women on the Go

I have the CD Looking Good Live! Would your book give me more info then the CD?
Just like any book/movie duo, there is a ton more information in the book. But watching the “movie” (before or after reading the book — and even intermittently over time) can be a big help in digesting all the details in the book. They were intended to reinforce one another and to present the information in ways that tap into the various dimensions of our learning styles.
Do you have this book in another language like spanish or italian?
So sorry – but we do not.
After reading your book, I feel like I need a new color analysis done. I would like to use your virtual service, but I am worried that my current hair color may not be my best hair color. I am covering my grey, but can’t decide whether I am warm or cool. I am worried that the cost of a virtual color analysis will be wasted if my hair color, a basic tenet of your color philosophy is off. What do you recommend?
You are certainly right that you need to be sure you are coloring your hair appropriately before moving to an updated color consultation. Why don’t you contact me va email at NNR@nancynixrice.com so we can compare our schedules. Maybe one of my trips over the next few months will be to an area near you and we can meet in person.
I would like to order the colour fan in the winter colors. I have been analyzed as being in the winter season category. Can I do this through your web-site? I live in Canada.
Denise
I’m sorry Denise, but we don’t produce generic seasonal color fans. Since there are so many variations of human coloring we don’t believe that 4 – or 40 or 404 or even more – standard classifications can match each woman with her optimal color choices. Each of our color fans is individually selected and assembled for its owner. Perhaps the individual who did your seasonal classification can provide you with a duplicate set of those swatches. Best of luck.
Great read. 🙂 Confidence can set you apart. There is something magical about confident women that whatever they say, whatever they wear looks absolutely classy.
